System requirements

Windows 10 version 1809 (build 17763) or later, and Windows 11. 64-bit only. Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 are not supported — the application is built on Electron 31, which dropped those versions.

Memory: 4 GB minimum; 8 GB recommended above roughly 50,000 transactions. The whole company file is held in memory while open — which is also why reports are fast.

Disk: 283 MB for the application; 1 GB free recommended including your company file and its 14 daily backups.

Nothing else to install: no .NET, no database engine.

Importing from QuickBooks Desktop requires QuickBooks Desktop installed on the same computer — NumeraBooks reads the company through Intuit’s own SDK, not an exported .QBW upload.

Multi-user needs a normal local network only. No cloud account, no ports opened to the internet.

About the SmartScreen warning

The installer is currently unsigned. Windows SmartScreen may show a warning because the publisher is not verified. Check the download source and SHA-512, and follow your organization’s IT policy before deciding to run it. Do not disable system-wide protection.
